Replaced rear flat rubber roof, all roof sheathing and 3 large skylights.2009
This roof over their Florida room had three skylights leaking for quite a while causing the decking under the roof surface to deteriorate. After we removed the existing roof surface and three skylights we installed all new ½" plywood to entire roof surface and then installed a new .060 EPDM rubber roofing system
Notice how we removed several cores of roof shingles on the main section of roof to allow our new rubber roofing to continue up the pitched roof to work as a flashing to prevent water to build up in the valley between the two roof pitches and get into the house.
Next we re-framed the openings of the three skylights and installed the new skylights continuing the rubber roofing up the 4 sides of each skylight to seal the skylights to the roof to prevent leaks.
Then we install new roof shingles to the pitched roof where we previously removed to continue rubber roofing up on pitched side. This completes our roofing job. Its done right and will never need going back on.
This is the finished
project and it looks great. The shingles were a perfact match.
