For 30 years I have personally worked on hundreds of slate roofs doing every imaginable repair from re-flashing the base of a chimney to replacing skylights or valleys or dormers to total Slate roof overhauls.

I specialize in Slate roofs, and enjoy working on them, because I find them interesting in not only they’re beauty but in their performance, durability and style adding character to so many homes and neighborhoods.

Although Slate roofs are very durable roofs and can withstand extreme weather conditions they
can also be easily damaged by anyone attempting to walk on one or work on one without having extensive training by a qualified expert.

There is few slate experts left that are qualified and prepared to perform quality work on these types of roofs. Most roofing contractors won’t even want to touch a Slate roof because they already know that chances are they will not be able to find and correct the problem successfully the first time therefore they cannot warrantee their work so they don’t even want to take on the job.

Other roofers who know little to nothing about Slate roofs will try to sell you a repair job and chance it that they can do the job, but when they fail they don’t return to fix it.

Be Careful Who You Let On Your Slate Roof

Before you let anyone even look at your Slate roof or walk on it, make very sure you get references of several Slate roofs that they personally worked on and the nature of the work.
Get names and phone numbers of Slate references and take the time and CALL and speak with those homeowners and verify they’re expertise.

Insist on their insurance agent send you directly a copy of they’re insurance. Verify their liability and workman’s compensation insurance and make sure they’re insured to do roofing work.
Ask them several questions about how they will fasten a replaced piece of slate, and what kind of slate they will be using weather it’s going to match your existing slate or is it composite or artificial; slate.

Ask them who will be doing the actual work and how many years of experience each person on your slate roof has working with Slate roofs.

This is very important.

I cannot tell you how many people call me to look at they’re Slate roof that is leaking after they let someone on their roof who did not know what they were doing and caused more damage and they don’t even want them back on they’re roof. Unfortunately they have to pay twice for the same job.

Please Don’t Let This Happen To You
Call Quality Exteriors Inc. NOW And Save $$$
Call Quality Exteriors Inc. now and speak to me Jim Facer personally and schedule me to come to your house and evaluate your Slate roof.

I will personally examine your entire Slate roof and tell you everything there is to know about your roof. I will tell you how old it it, the overall condition of the roof, where it has been worked on in the past and the quality of that work, I will tell you every single flaw in your roof, where it is leaking and where it will leak in the future.

I will also evaluate any and all interior damage caused by a fatly roof and provide an estimate on the cost of repairs.

In most cases I can get your insurance to pay for it all.

I have 30 years experience in dealing with insurance companies and I know how to speak they’re language.

In most cases it is storm related damages to a Slate roof causing interior damage but it takes a skilled Slate roofing contractor to be able to convince the insurance company that they can positively identify the roof problem, the exact cause of the damages, the extent of the damages, and prove it was storm damage.

If the wrong contractor who may not be adequately qualified attempts to file a claim in your behalf and fails to convince the insurance company that he is accurate in his evaluation he may cost you because the insurance company may not pay.

There is nobody more qualified to restore your Slate roof than Quality Exteriors Inc.
